Braeriach House

LOCATION

Braeriach is a modern 2-storey house. It is situated on the Lochan Mor estate, off the main A9 road at the north end of Aviemore.

When you turn into Lochan Mor, turn left at the small junction, then left again. Braeriach is the third house on the right (12 Mitchell Road).

You can park in the driveway.

There are gardens at the front and rear of the house, and the back garden is fenced to make it safer for young children. The lockable garden shed can be used to store outdoor equipment.

DOWNSTAIRS

Entrance Porch

Inside the porch you will find a cupboard, containing cleaning and maintenance equipment. There are some hooks for hanging of jackets.

Hallway

The central heating controls are on the wall and there is a small bathroom under the stairs.

There is WiFi available throughout the house.

Lounge

There are couches, chairs and various tables and stools in the lounge.
The TV has a DVD player in it and is connected to a SKY dish. We have sports and movie channels.
The radio reception is not good in this area but the CD player is fine for CDs.
There are games - Cards, Monopoly, Scrabble, draughts and chess - as well as maps and leaflets on local walks.

Dining Room

There is a dining table and chairs, and a sideboard. The patio doors open out on to the garden.

Kitchen

The kitchen is well-equipped, the appliances include fridge, freezer, dishwasher, gas hob and a double electric oven, small microwave and electric kettle. There is a table and chairs and various pots and pans and crockery are in cupboards. There are also tea towels in kitchen drawers.

Utility Room

Here you will find the washing machine and an iron, pegs and clothes basket. There are cupboards containing useful items to make your stay comfortable.

UPSTAIRS

Bedroom 1 with ensuite (facing front)

This has a double bed. There are two bed side tables with lamps, a chest of drawers and dressing table and a fitted wardrobe. The small TV receives Freeview channels.

The ensuite has W.C., shower unit and sink, shaving point and bathroom cabinet.

Bedroom 2 (also facing front)

There are two single beds in this room. It is furnished for two people. (See photo on left.)

Bedroom 3 (facing back)

This room has a double bed and is furnished for two people. There is a velux window with blind. (See photo on right.)

Bedroom 4 (facing back)

This is basically a child's bedroom but could be used by an adult; it has one single bed. (See photo on left.)
